Some exclusive transfer news has surfaced as it looks like Charlton are considering putting in a bid for Barnsley Captain Alex Mowatt which was also suggested by Tyler Rowlinson in yesterdays article.
However today an inside source has revealed Charlton are interested in the midfielder as he comes into the last 6-months of his contract at Barnsley.
Apparently Steve Gallen has been watching him for a while and is a big fan of the 24-year old and he wants to bring him to the club.
Mowatt has appeared 24 times this season scoring twice and providing 7 assists for the Championship strugglers.

If we manage the sign the Yorkshire born lad it would be another leader added to the squad which will strengthen the core of the team.
He is an exciting player and very calm on the ball but also gets stuck in when he needs to, he’s a good passer of the ball and a real threat in the centre of the park.
I have also seen a few of his free-kicks and let me tell you now he can strike a ball very well indeed.
I would love to have Alex Mowatt at Charlton, imagine having players of his quality in the midfield rotation, it would be immense to see that, but let’s see if this unfolds in the way we want it too or not.
