Update emerges regarding star mans transfer status

|

As the story regarding Lyle Taylor’s contract kicks on the thoughts of him leaving are still plaguing Charlton fans minds as we enter the January transfer window.

However, we may have had some good news with this situation as Brentford are considering pulling out of the Lyle Taylor deal after having numerous bids rejected in August with some reaching up to £4million, but that’s not the only thing putting them off. Halil Dervisoglu made his Brentford debut and impressed Thomas Frank.

Will Lyle Taylor leave this January?

No

Yes

Speaking with West London Sports Brentford manager Thomas Frank had this to say

“Honestly I’m in a little bit of doubt signing a new striker, we know Halil is a good player and he showed today we can use him.

“Hopefully can Ollie Watkins can keep going like he has and there is no problem, and obviously we know Bryan Mbeumo can play there too.”

This will be good news for Charlton fans, keeping Lyle is a priority as his skill and knowledge of the game brings goals and assists, plus he gives a lift to the rest of the team overall.

I for one am glad to hear we have more of a chance of keeping him now and with ESI finally completing the takeover its almost inevitable Taylor will be signing a contract.
