Lee Bowyer emerges as favourite to take over Championship strugglers

|

Some shocking news is emerging from SE7 this afternoon as Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has been made the bookies favourite for the Huddersfield Town job after Jan Siewart was sacked after just the third game of the season.

Currently billed at 3/10 Bowyer looks likely to make the move in the perspective of the bookies, however, us as fans don’t really seem to think something as mad as this could happen.

The former Leeds and Charlton midfielder is a fan favourite amongst the supporters after winning the playoff final against Sunderland and promoting us to The Championship, although if this move does indeed happen that will seem like a distant memory.

We know for a fact he will be offered a much better contract there than he would here, which makes it extremely important that Roland Duchatlelet either sells soon or changes his ambitions with the club as we could be left in turmoil if we lose such a character like Lee in the dressing room.

I don’t think it’s going to happen personally, but who knows? Football can be a crazy game sometimes.

Nothing would surprise me and a wonderful Owner a longer contract and funds and let’s face it why to them, but one thing is for sure he will be off to a much bigger club sooner rather than later unless a miracle happens and we get new Owners!!!!???
