Links to Huddersfield dismissed by Bowyer

|

Some news that I think we were expecting has just been put out there as Charlton fan favourite Richard Cawley tweeted this morning saying that no-approach has been made by Huddersfield for manager Lee Bowyer.

This comes after various bookies were tipping Bowyer to be the favourite for the vacant Terriers job some of those odds were going as low as 3/10.

I had to dig around a few other bookies to make sure it was not just Sky Bet who was tipping it, so there was no one else better to go to than Paddy Power the sponsors of Huddersfield Town.

As you can see Lee is favourite on their website which begs the question, do Paddy Power know something on the inside? Or is this all speculation that has come from nowhere?

I think it’s the latter, last season Bowyer and co were linked with a couple of jobs throughout English football such as Johnnie Jackson to Luton and Bows to Derby, both of which never materialised.

The Town job is currently occupied on caretaker terms by former Charlton defender Mark Hudson and he has lost both of his two games in charge since taking over from the sacked Jan Siewart.

Personally, I think former Charlton man Gary Rowett is going to take the Huddersfield job I just feel like it’s a club he would go to after managing teams like Birmingham and Stoke.

It’s worth noting that because of the job our manager is doing he will get a lot of this throughout the season, but I am confident in saying that Bowyer wants to take us on a journey not Huddersfield not Derby, not anyone else, just us and we are extremely grateful that we have such a man at this famous club.

Onwards and upwards!
