A new right-back looks to set to sign for Charlton very soon as former Celtic man Adam Matthews is the one who will be joining us in the next day or so, probably before the Reading game.
The 27-year-old has been training with the club looking for a new contract alongside Lee Bowyer’s former West Ham teammate Tyrone Mears and this will also be Charlton’s final signing of the summer.
I think this will be a great signing, yes, it is someone who’s career has kind of taken a turn for the worst, however the good thing is he has the quality to be a great player and I think Lee will get the best out of him as he does with all of his players.
Bowyer will bring the good player back out of him again and I think he will be our starting right-back for the season with Solly behind him as back up.
