Charlton poised to sign free agent as injury crisis worsens

|

The injuries are really starting to get a bit much at Charlton at the moment as we see 12 first-team players out injured right now and Lee Bowyer is looking to the free-agent market to sort out this problem.

Yesterday we reported that Joe Ledley was training with the club, but it was not clear whether or not he was in for just training to get fit or to earn himself a contract, however, today Football Insider has flat-out said that Charlton is set to sign the Welsh international on a short-term deal.

Apparently he has agreed to a deal and this has come from a ‘Charlton source’ that has told Football Insider the latest gossip at Sparrows Lane.

Ledley currently holds 77 caps for his country whilst scoring 4 times, if this is believed to be true he will join Jonny Williams, Tom Lockyer and Adam Matthews as another Welsh addition to the squad.
