James Walker might not have done a great deal in the earlier part of his Yeovil stay, but the on loan Addicks striker has since gone onto impress, as he did at the weekend.

Another good performance and a fine winning goal for James Walker earned him praise over the weekend. The current deal that the Glovers have for him is one to see him stay until January but Glovers boss Russell Slade is looking to build and hopes that he can keep him for longer: “We want to start building for the future and, for a while, it looked like everything was going to be on hold for another game,” Russell Slade told the Glovers website.

“But James showed what we all know he is capable of.”

James Walker has already once before looked destined to leave the Valley, one former Addicks boss Alan Curbishley said he could leave, but another Iain Dowie gave him a stay of execution. He has still not been able to make a breakthrough, and the chances are he wont but if he produces the goods during his loan spell you never know?

  • Charlton Addickt says:

The better he does the better his chances of either a permanent deal with the Glovers or (which is probably less likely) he might yet forge himself a career at the Valley?
