Will The Addicks Continue Their Unbeaten Run At Home? | Match Preview

|

Charlton will be looking to carry on both their unbeaten run at home and an unbeaten run against in the Championship against Nottingham Forest tomorrow at The Valley.

Charlton come into the fixture with an incredible start to life in the Championship after holding a draw against Barnsley on Saturday. After being unbeaten in the league for the first 3 games, Charlton are currently in second behind Leeds on goal difference with 7 points.

The visitors’ first 3 league games have earned them 4 points with a comfortable 3-0 victory against Birmingham on Saturday and holding Leeds to a 1-1 draw the week before. They also progressed into the second round of the League Cup with a 1-0 win again at Fleetwood.

TEAM NEWS

Lewis Page and Beram Kayal are still sidelined with Beram expected to be back within a couple of weeks.

Chris Solly came off with a concussion on Saturday and will likely miss out on tomorrow’s game also.

New signings, Oztumer and Tomer Hemed, can both play in tomorrow’s clash, but Oztumer is a doubt because of his lack of match fitness.

Forest players, Ryan Yates, Yohan Benalouane, João Carvalho and Michael Hefele, will all be missing out.

Neither side have any suspensions to worry about.

MY OPINION

I think we will be able to catch all 3 points, but I’ll be happy with another draw. A loss at this point may put as back a step, but I think with a win, we could definitely be challenging for a good finish in the league by the end of the season.

However, with the injury to Chris Solly, we may struggle on our right-wing. Deji Oshilaja filled in for Chris after his concussion, but from what I heard, Deji was a little nervy the first time playing in the right-back position in the Charlton shirt. I still feel hopeful for The Addicks though, as I know Lee Bowyer and Johnnie Jackson will prepare the side well.

Up the Addicks!
