Why Tahnoon Nimer won’t invest large sums of money – yet

|

Today we once again got answers from supporters questions over the recent situation surrounding Charlton regarding Tahnoon Nimer and Matt Southall as the boardroom dispute saw Matt Southall removed from Charlton Athletic, but is still ever-present in East Street Investments.

Can you get 100% on this quiz? I bet you can’t but feel free to try!

Who scored the only goal in Charlton's 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on the 21st of October 2000?

Club director Marian Mihail who was appointed by Tahnoon Nimer has answered some fans questions and one that sticks out is that Nimer will not invest large sums of money until Southall is gone as it will increase his share value in ESI, which is understandable to a certain degree, but if Nimer is as rich as he says he is, surely keeping the club afloat shouldn’t be a problem to him, but the only thing standing in his way is his enemy benefitting from it.

If Nimer was to act now and put some money into the club despite Southall benefitting from it, he would certainly earn some respect from fans as he continues to look like a fraud as this quest of the search for the proof of funds wages on.

Mihail said this to the Charlton Athletic Supporters Trust

The decision not to invest large funds into the club while Mr Southall is still part of the ownership of the club was made by Tahnoon Nimer and seems justifiable, since a breach of trust has taken place, from his point of view. I do not mean breach of trust in a legal term, but literally that a trust between two has been damaged beyond repair.

The reason for not investing anything more than to keep the club running is because even though he has no control or access to funds, Mr Southall would benefit from an investment from Tahnoon. If Tahnoon invests a large amount of money and the club benefits from it, then the value of Mr Southall’s shares in East Street Investments increase. It therefore seems unfair for only one party to fulfill these duties of funding but for both parties to benefit.

I just think Tahnoon should do the right thing and just invest in the club, Southall has done wrong, but you shouldn’t let your business suffer at the hands of a thief especially with such an avid fan base behind it. We can’t wait too much longer for these funds to be added.

Southall will be removed at some point from ESI as a result of his actions, if not he will probably be removed by law after what he has done, let’s all hope that is the case!

I am in no way defending any of these two right now, I just want a stable future for the club I love.
