This season Lyle Taylor went from Hero to zero in terms of respect from the Charlton fans, however, since Matt Southall had been outed as a villain in the football club we now know that Taylor rejecting the offer was completely justified.

Now we have even more to this terrible story that has unfolded in our football club, it has now been absolutely confirmed by Taylor when he spoke with Youtube Channel TheConv3rsation that Southall offered him a contract that was even lower than one that Roland Duchatelet had offered him.
It also turns out that Roland took way too long writing up contracts because when we got promoted Taylor was not offered a new deal, but when Brentford came knocking and Lyle had proved himself at Championship level he got offered a deal that he would have “signed no problem in the summer” but that just showed how Duchatelet went about his business with Charlton he left everything to the last minute.
With Southall apparently he told Lee Bowyer that they are going to “get Lyle to sign” and with the recent hitman rumors going around that Southall ordered a hit on Tahnoon Nimer’s lawyer Chris Farnell doing the rounds, I wonder how those methods of getting Lyle to sign would have gone down.
I never thought I’d be saying this but I want Roland back, at least until we find someone who can keep the club afloat.
The next few months are going to be crucial at Charlton, but with the way things are looking in terms of money, can we even last that long?
Lyle thinks that this won’t end well for Charlton fans, which is a big shame as the end could be near for this great football who has come back against all the odds time and time again, let’s hope this is another one of those situations.
