Svetoslav Todorov and Darren Ambrose have moved a step closer to making a starting return for Charlton.

Both came through a reserve match against Southend and could be in contention for the match with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. Ambrose has made a few substitute appearances as he steps up his return from hip surgery. Todorov is recovering from a cruciate knee injury and a hamstring problem of late as well.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with Stuart Fleetwood and Jonjo Shelvey scoring.
