Sam Sodje is on the lookout for a new club already after leaving Greece after just a month.

Sodje left Charlton during the summer but after only a month with Skoda Xanthi his contract was ended by mutual consent. The defender is now on trial with Portsmouth, Portsmouth boss Steve Cotterill told the News: “We have just brought Sam in to do a bit of training with us and see where he is.

“He’s just somebody out there at the moment on a free.”

Sodje should have stayed with us, but, presumably, wanted more money than we were prepared to offer. I think that we can manage without him.
