The picture above: Chris Farnell
Everyone is skeptical about the new ‘owners’ if you can call them that, but at least they have already done something good for the club and that is they have paid the wages for the staff and players, which was revealed a couple of days ago by Alan Nixon that Chris Farnell had scraped the money together.
Can you get 25/25 on this former Charlton players quiz? I bet you can’t, but feel free to prove me wrong!
Now Nixon has gone back on that comment and has now told Charlton fans that the person actually paid the money was Paul Elliott and his people in the consortium which is still very unknown to fans.
Charlton. Elliott and his allies put money in for wages last month. And will do this month whether the EFL test is arranged in time or not.

The more information we get on these people the better we will feel, once more names are thrown in then we might actually get an idea of who these people are and what their motives could possibly be.
Obviously we are all here hoping to god that Peter Varney and Andrew Barclay pull through, they are the best option we have had in years and Varney is a trusted name in Charlton as every time he has come to us he has brought success.
We are expecting this new consortium to sell the club in the next month and Varney and Barclay look to be the front runners.
