New owner Paul Elliott visits the club’s training ground

After the club’s recent years the fans will be hoping that new ESI and Charlton owner Paul Elliott will bring some stability and trust to Charlton Athletic as the fans have been paranoid about the recent takeover of ESI by the Manchester businessman.

Who scored a hattrick against Liverpool in 2003?

So far Elliot has paid the bills and outlined what he would like to do with the club and if we look at the facts it’s so far so good for his efforts, but we need to see more to know he is genuine and not some fraudster who will nick all of our money, Range Rovers and god forbid the good bread.

Paul Elliott visited the Addicks training ground Sparrows Lane this afternoon to introduce himself to Lee Bowyer and his team and it looks like smiles all around so far with the new owner and let’s hope it stays that way from here on out.

I am obviously still holding out hope that Peter Varney’s bid to buy the club is successful, but for now we need to live in the present. With ESI being who they are, suspicions are certainly rising with the Charlton fans and they have made it clear they want Elliott and ESI gone for good.
