New Chairman Matt Southall wins the hearts of fans after latest admission

|

The fans will be drooling after what they have just heard courtesy of The South London Press as new chairman Matt Southall has expressed the desire to sign popular midfielder Josh Cullen on a permanent deal from West Ham United.

The news delivered this morning does not come directly from Southall’s mouth, but it comes from reliable journalist Richard Cawley from SLP and if this is believed to be true then the new chair sure knows how to get to the hearts of the fans quickly after taking over from Roland Duchatelet’s disastrous reign.

Southall met the fans at the Sheffield Wednesday game last Saturday as we lost out 3-1 to The Owls after an injury-hit Charlton squad failed to perform to the standard required, but also unleashed Alfie Doughty who put in a great performance.

Josh Cullen is currently out until after Christmas with ankle ligament damage which was sustained during the 2-2 draw with Cardiff City.

There was a little bit of anxiety over the possibility of Cullen being recalled to West Ham in January until Manuel Pelligrini quashed the chances of recalling the Republic of Ireland international.
