Negotiations hit a snag in midfielder deal

|

The transfer deal for Peterborough’s Marcus Maddison looks to be going south as the playmaker has turned down Charlton’s contract offer, but the talks between Maddison’s representatives and Charlton are still on-going so a deal could still be struck according to Peterborough Today.

It’s been a very tough transfer window for Charlton fans so far as we have pulled out of deals, lost Conor Gallagher and now Maddison and his agent are proving hard to deal with in terms of getting him signed on a contract.

Maddison signed from Gateshead for £250k which rose to £500k with goals and appearance bonuses added in the clause of his transfer.

Charlton activated his £2.5million release clause so The Posh would be getting a tidy profit from this sale, but the deal is yet to be struck as Charlton still wait for the second signing of the January transfer window.

Yes

No

It’s an all too familiar story with Charlton doing things the hard way and it looks like this deal will be done no differently.
