Charlton ready to battle it out to sign young midfielder

|

Right now it’s no secret that us Charlton fans are hurting and worried about the rest of the transfer window this January as we have brought in one player and lost four with Beram Kayal, Jonathan Leko, Joe Ledley and of course Conor Gallagher all leaving the club.

There is a real unrest with the fans at the moment, but in the meantime, we have another transfer rumour to report and it’s Newcastle United’s Dan Barlaser who is currently on loan at Rotherham United, however, we are not the only ones looking to secure his contract and we could face tough competition in tying him down for the rest of the season.

Who scored a hattrick against Liverpool in 2003?

According to The Daily Mail Charlton will have to battle it out with Hull City, Wigan Athletic and Brentford for the Turkishmans signature so at least Oztumer could bond well with him seeing as he is a fellow countryman.

Barlaser has played 19 games and scored twice whilst providing 2 assists for The Miller’s this season as a Championship move looks to be on the Horizon for the Gateshead born midfielder who can also play up and down the right-wing.

Would you like Dan Barlaser at Charlton?

Yes

No

Dan spent last season on loan at Accrington Stanley which was a successful spell for the 22-year-old making 39 appearances and scoring once and getting the same amount on the assists too, despite the low numbers on goals and assists he remained an integral part of John Coleman’s side.
