Aaron McLean is being linked with a January move to the Valley but the Peterborough striker insists that he is happy where he is.

The 18-goal hitman is catching the attentions of others not only due to the goals he is scoring in League Two with Posh, but also because of his performance. This has brought him to the attentions of the Addicks (and others) and reports are saying that Alan Pardew could make a £2million move for him in January, but he has told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph that he is happy where he is: “It’s great to be linked with clubs like Charlton because it suggests that I’m doing the right things, but I’ve been in the game long enough to know not to take any notice of stuff in the paper.

“I’m very happy at Posh and that is a major reason why I’m doing well. I’m in the best form of my life and the club is in a great position to go up this season.

“I want to play as high as I can and that means the Championship or the Premiership, but I could get there with Posh yet. The club is certainly heading in the right direction.

“I’m determined to ignore all the speculation anyway. I will be giving my all as usual against Bradford City this Saturday as all I’m thinking about is helping Posh to promotion.”

Good luck to Aaron McLean, whether he will come to the Valley or not remains to be seen but he is certainly showing a great attitude, and an attitude that should be commended.

McLean looks a good footballer and he certainly seems a nice bloke, his words definitely deserve praise, few would say such things as he has so credit to the bloke.
