Addicks striker Chris Dickson has sensationally been called up by Ghana and could take part on the African Cup of Nations next month.

His loan spell with Gillingham has seen him score eleven goals in eleven matches and this has caught the eye of the Ghanaian national side and he has been named in the preliminary 40-man squad for the African Cup of Nations, which starts on January 20th. This 40-man squad will be cut down to 23 by January 10th.

Chris Dickson’s loan spell with the Gills ends on Saturday, so he will then be returning to the Valley. After this latest development in his career if he doesn’t get a chance over the Christmas and New Year period it would be unbelievable.

Absolutely amazing and completes quite a half season for Dickson! It will be great to get him back this weekend, get him into the team AP lets see what he can do, if he is good enough for Ghana he must be good enough for us.

Yes please, if I could make a wish, that’s what it would be. 🙂 And something involving AP but I’m too shy!

  • Charlton Addickt says:

That wish is given really isn’t it 🙂 If he doesn’t get a game sometime soon then there must be something wrong, he certainly appears good enough.

It is certainly an achievement isn’t it, from non-league football, reserve football at the Valley a successful loan with the Gills to international call-up for Ghana, and all so quickly. Now he is back at the Valley and could play today!
