Lee Bowyer provides an update on his players confidence

|

There’s no hiding it, it’s been a very tough last nine games as Charlton are still in search of three points, the last coming against Derby County in a 3-0 win.

Whilst the fan base seems to be going into meltdown in certain areas regarding the style of play and of course the injuries that have been occurring in the last couple of months, the players have not lost their confidence according to Lee Bowyer.

“The players are hurting because they’re not used to losing games. They haven’t lost confidence, but when you can’t freshen it up, it makes things difficult for them.”

Do you think the players have lost their confidence?

No

Yes

It is a real shame what has happened to the team recently, it certainly needs freshening up hence why we brought Joe Ledley in as our numbers are scarce.

The boys will without a doubt bounce back from this I know they will. I don’t personally think they have lost confidence, tired and short of bodies for sure, but the confidence is still there.

The players will want to put this whole thing right and the time to do it is tomorrow at The Valley when Hull City visit with kick-off at 7:45.

Let’s get behind the boys and make sure you bring your voices with you, they are going to need us!
