Lee Bowyer heeds advice from Charlton legend Alan Curbishley

Another international break is upon us, normally I’m sad about not having football in the next 14 days, however, the players deserve this after a tremendous start to the season. It’s not just the players who need a break the management do too and with advice from Alan Curbishley, Bowyer will be enjoying a well-earned break.

Presumably, he will be with his family at his fishing lodge in France, I bet that is a fantastic place to be, peaceful and a stunning atmosphere with hardly any noise surrounding the place must be a beautiful experience(no I’m not trying to earn an invite).

Bowyer sure knows how to relax like a king, but his old boss and Charlton legend Alan Curbishley has told Bowyer he needs to take a break after his tireless efforts at the club have got us into a great stead for the rest of the season.

Speaking with The News Shopper Lee Bowyer had this to say

“Curbishley told me when I took over, ‘you need to take a break, when you get a chance to take a break, you take it, you need to, so I’m taking his advice.

“I’ve been working crazy hours, watching game after game after game, doing homework, which is my job.

“But there comes a point you get burnt out, same as the players.

“You need to take a rest.

“So 100% I’ll be taking a break.”

A great start to the season has been accompanied by a decent position to be in, we might be tenth in the league, but we are just four points from top.

The passing of the baton continues from Curbs to Bows, the first time we saw anything of the kind was after the famous 2019 playoff final win over Sunderland the same thing that Curbs did 21 years prior and it was a brilliant image to see them shake hands after such an emotional day.

In fact, ill just drop this here
