Injury boost for Charlton ahead of West Brom

|

The injuries we have sustained so far this season has been excruciating to witness with the injury list racking up to 15 players at one point, but now we have some good news to go alongside the triumph of the takeover.

In Matt Southall’s first press conference as chairman, Lee Bowyer announced that Jonny Williams, Jake Forster-Caskey and Tomer Hemed will all return to league action this Saturday on the bench.

JFC has not played since he came off after 36 minutes against Bristol City away on the 23rd of October, which had a painful ending to it as City struck late to secure the 2-1 win.

Jonny Williams and Tomer Hemed returned to the squad last weekend by coming off the bench against West Brom but the pair will finally return to Championship football after lengthy spells on the sidelines.

Williams has not played since Derby at home on the 19th of October whilst Tomer Hemed has not featured since that same game, but when he is on the pitch he has not looked convincing with the five appearances he has put in so far this season.

It’s great to finally see players coming back after being out for so long it just looks like the only way is up for Charlton!
