Gillingham boss Mark Stimson is still refusing to admit defeat in his battle to signed Addicks striker Chris Dickson.

Chris Dickson is nearing the end of his third and final month on loan with the Gills so no matter what will return to the Valley before Christmas, but Mark Stimson is still hoping that he can again return on loan (at least) when the transfer window opens for business again: “If we could do a deal we would love to,” said Mark Stimson. “We will have to wait until that time comes up and wait and see.

“He’s got a great talent of scoring goals and in and around the box he is brilliant. I think if he just keeps working hard on the other parts of his game then he will go on and have a good career in the game.

“He does put the ball in the back of the net but that’s sometimes down to other people setting him up so that he can’t really miss. But full credit to him, he enjoys scoring goals and that’s a massive bonus.”

Alan Pardew has insisted that Chris Dickson will be returning to the Valley, so after 11 goals in 13 matches I hope that this is not a fleeting visit and he will be back to stay, not simply to stay until he can be moved on again. His loan will run out after the Gills match with Brighton on December 22nd.

What is the thought among the Addicks followers on this site on Mark Stimson’s thoughts? No wonder he wants to keep him but he wont will he? Share these feelings below so we can discuss them.
