In the famous words of Barry Scott “BANG! and the dirt is gone!” same can be said for Roland and co as the EFL have finally agreed for the takeover of Charlton Athletic to be completed!
Charlton fans, it has been a long time coming, but after five long, hard and lost years Roland Duchatelet is officially out of the building, we now have a future to look forward to, a future that looks bright with ambitious owners ready to take the helm and give this great club it’s pride back.
The future starts today, with Lee Bowyer, Johnnie Jackson, Andy Marshall and Grant Basey spearheading the team into success, I promise you we have an exciting future to look forward to.
Jason Euell and Steve Avory are top of their game at producing young talent and with Euell still a young coach himself we will see a lot more young talent coming through the ranks with him in-charge.
It’s so good to say these things with meaning and a sense of excitement because this is something we have needed for a very long time and now it’s official we can all finally forget the Duchatelet era and look forward to a prosperous future.
Thank you Matt Southall, His Excellency Tahnoon Nimer and Jonathan Heller for finally getting this over the line, what this means to us Charlton fans is more than you will ever know and we are forever in your debt for what you have given us today, all I ask is please look after this fantastic club, you treat the club and the fans well and then you will get the same return.
