Bowyer set to miss out on youngster

|

The January transfer window opens up in a matter of hours at the time of writing this and it really can’t come quick enough, I hope Bowyer and Gallen have got some ready to go because we need reinforcements as soon as possible.

Although one of those reinforcements who has been linked with Charlton in the past month looks to be set for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers as the former Liverpool man looks back to his old club for new players.

With someone of his stature at The Kop being linked with Kane I think we all know which way this is going to go.

Herbie Kane will without a doubt want to join up and learn from Gerrard, so I can’t see this deal going through for us now that Rangers are said to be involved which was reported by former Charlton defender Danny Mills when he spoke with Football Insider.

When Danny Mills was asked about the Liverpool connection with Gerrard being an advantage he had this to say

“It’s not just Steven Gerrard though.

“McAllister is there, Michael Beale is there, who was one of the main coaches in the Liverpool academy before he went up to Rangers to do a lot of coaching.

“So Liverpool will know the coaching staff very very well, Gary Mac was captain of Liverpool, Gerrard captain, Beale one of the best coaches they had at Liverpool, that’s what counts.”

We would have to pull a miracle out of the bag to get Herbie Kane to sign on the dotted line now, but I’m sure we will be fine there is plenty of talent out there to be found.
