Youngster Jordan Cousins has been offered a professional contract with Charlton.

Cousin’s is going to be a scholar at SE7 but will turn 17 in March and when he does that is when he will sign a professional contract, Cousin’s told The Official Website: “I’m delighted to be told about getting a pro deal. There was always going to be interest from other clubs but I think it was best for me to stay at Charlton.

“Being from Greenwich, hopefully making my home debut will be one of the best feelings I can have. That’s a big reason why I agreed to sign.”

The defender is the captain of the England youth international side and will be one for us to look out for in the future.

When you’ve not got any money you can’t sign any players can you! All you can do is let your best players go and hope the rest can plod along.

I’m not sure how this comment got into this thread as well? I said this on another one. What I wanted to say here was this is another that we’ll nurture for another year or two then he’ll be off too!!

He’ll probably leave us but lets enjoy having him here while we can instead of worrying too much about when he’ll leave.
