Charlton have asked for mascots to lead the team out at the Valley.

On the official site they announced they are looking for kids between the age of 5 and 15 (15 is a bit old isn’t it?)

They explain: ‘Packages consist of a full home Charlton kit, one child and two adult tickets for the match, passes to the Crossbars bar, plus a tour of the boardroom and the directors’ box. But the highlight of the day is a visit to the home dressing room before kick-off to gain the autographs of all the players. In addition to warming up on the pitch, mascots have their picture taken in the centre circle with match officials and club captains.’

Mascot packages are available now, priced £250, and for more information on the deals, call the commercial centre on 0871 226 1905.

If anyone goes for this, please write into this site and let us know all about the day.

I wonder if I knelt down I’d get away with it or would my grey hairs give me away? Best not answer that, I’m a man of delicate persuasion!

It was always my dream to be a mascot, but I’m a bit old for this now! I once knew a kid that was a mascot for Oldham when they played Man U in the 1990 Cup semi final.

bit steep £250 as well. My kids can make do with a coca cola at half time!
