I’m a bit late with this snippet but as my wife would have me believe, better late than never! 3 hours to get ready, come on??!

The official site ran an article earlier in the week saying that the British Transport Police is seeking witnesses to an attack on Charlton fans at Sydenham train station last Saturday.

Some supporters were assaulted on the way to the game against Cystal Palace.

PC Elliot Waite said: ‘This was an extremely violent and cowardly act and several people were injured. I also have no doubt that people will be left traumatised by what they saw and what they heard.”

In a throwback to the bad old days when the Addick fans got into the station there was a ‘large group’ of thugs waiting for them.

PC Waite added, ‘We are requesting help with our enquiry into finding witnesses who may have seen this incident, or any of the fans on board who were victims but have yet to come forward.”

Charlton operations director Mick Everett added on cafc.co.uk: ‘This was a serious incident and we have received numerous reports from fans. The club is working closely with the police, and we urge any of our fans who saw anything on the train to get in touch and provide as much information as possible.”

Anyone with any information should call the British Transport Police on 020-7391 5275, quoting reference B4/060907.

I cant stick violence, then I am a coward anyway. Those that were the guilty parties will hopefully be brought to justice. I thought days like this were long behind us.

Plenty Of CCTV There So It Shouldn’t Take Too Long To Catch Them…!
