Charlton man puts himself in hot water with fans after latest action

|

It’s no secret that the players are probably not in the best frame of mind after Saturday’s 4-0 thrashing against Huddersfield and they are all in need with a kick up the backside to start playing just like how we know they can and the fans have not held back after Charlton’s disgraceful performance at The John Smiths Stadium.

One thing that won’t help the matter is a little something that has turned into a pretty big thing is that Albie Morgan liked former Charlton player Karlan Grant’s Instagram post boasting his sides win against us on the weekend.

Albie has since unliked his post, which many could put down to one of two things. One- It was an accidental like and Two- He saw the errors of his mistake here and unliked the post.

I don’t have anything against Albie, but all this social media stuff does is just cause trouble and unnecessary trouble most of the time, it just seems in this day and age in football you can’t do a single thing without hundreds of people taking offense to it.

I’m not saying what Albie did was right, because it is something that many fans have looked at and felt that it’s disrespectful towards the club and in many ways it is, however, what’s the difference between that and a handshake or a couple of players swapping shirts at the end of a game?

Can you get 20/20 on this Charlton Academy Players quiz? I bet you can’t, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Who is this?

It could also be that where Albie hasn’t been getting the game time and he is happy that we are losing without him, but if that’s the case then I don’t want to see him in a Charlton shirt again, however, I believe this is unlikely.

If I’m honest at first thought when I saw this I wasn’t happy I’m not going to lie, but I looked a little more into it and I now think that it was like a sign of respect just like players shaking hands after the game but got taken out of context and it also shows that Albie is not a sore loser, I know he didn’t play in the game or anything but at the same time they both came through the same academy together and they are obviously friends, but after the backlash he has got from this it wouldn’t be wise to try something like that again.

We all have an opinion on this and here are a few fan’s opinions on this particular situation.
