Charlton man makes move to a very unexpected team

|

Today Charlton have confirmed that young midfielder Albie Morgan will be going on loan to Ebbsfleet United on a 28-day loan deal.

Most fans will be confused by this transfer as the majority will think he is at least League One level, but there is a simple explanation for this as Grant Basey has told the club website

“Following promotion and the new additions that have arrived this summer, Albie has found himself down the pecking order so it’s a great opportunity for him to get some games under his belt.

“In an ideal world, he would be going out to a League club but, due to the transfer window, he can only go to teams at National League level and below. As soon as we heard Ebbsfleet were interested, it was a no-brainer for all parties.”

What seems like a strange choice of club it only makes sense because the loan window is closed otherwise we could have been seeing him at League One or Two level, it’s no doubt that Albie is going to smash this league for the next month as we know he is miles ahead of the National League.

Good luck Albie and have a good month of football!
