Yesterday evening we received what looks like very promising news regarding a sale, Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman is the banker who reportedly submitted a £30million bid around three months ago for the club – which was also agreed between the two parties – has now entered an advanced stage.
The latest news from Wales Online suggests that Dalman has entered the advanced stage and a price has been agreed for Charlton Athletic plc. The potential buyer is apparently looking through the club’s accounts before signing off whatever needs to be signed off to acquire the club from deluded owner Roland Duchatelet.
The club has been ‘in the process’ of being sold for the last two years and with many names mentioned and many stories linking a party of people – such as the Aussies – to buy the club, but so far every story and every rumour has fallen short of what we would have hoped.
This one seems to be a bit more consistent and it is being picked up by mainstream news, the consistency comes from a good while ago where a banker put in a £30million bid for Charlton and a price was agreed. Three months down the line it is revealed to be Mehmet Dalman who is currently the Cardiff City chairman and before you start worrying if he would be a bad owner or a good owner I know for a fact he would be a good one.
Dalman is understood to have held discussions with #CAFC owner Roland Duchatelet, who has been looking to sell the south London club since 2017.https://t.co/JOXkkMBUu9

When Vincent Tan opted to change The Bluebirds original colour from blue to red, there was an obvious uproar from the Cardiff fans and he quickly became a hated figure in Cardiff, that was until Mehmet Dalman persuaded Vincent Tan to change the colours back to blue. That in itself shows he is the complete opposite of Roland.
Cardiff manager Neil Warnock has also stated that Dalman is the best chairman he has ever worked under and he seems to know the game very well. This is the perfect candidate for us, we have been through some very dark times and we are really in need of something good happening off the pitch, something needs to be said today regarding either this or Bowyers contract because that will be entering the deadline day on Friday for Bowyer’s nerve with Duchatelet.
Hopefully, we can start pouring the beers and celebrating Roland’s exit from The Valley soon, but let’s not forget we have been here before….
FAN REACTION

The way it has been told to me, Dalman is at an advanced stage of talks to buy #cafc. But I don't think negotiations with Duchatelet are ever straightforward.

Wales Online reporting that negotiations are at an advanced stage. This has been bubbling away before the play-offs. #cafc
