CAFC Deadline Day: Charlton look to add striker to the ranks

|

Another signing looks to be incoming today and it is another striker, this time he is from Bristol City and we have spoken about him before this is, of course, Matty Taylor. We link-could have a potential goal scorer on our hands if this deal goes through and hopefully, it does.

Of course, there is a catch now let’s rewind back to January when we wanted to bring in Mo Eisa, Bristol City ended up blocking the move because they couldn’t get another striker in which ended with us getting Josh Parker, not a fantastic situation.

Taylor does know how to find the goal which shows with his former team Bristol Rovers, however in the last three championship seasons he has managed just 7 goals in 66 games which is obviously not very good. Although his goal tally is not what any striker would want, he does have good link up play and a good reading of the game as said by some Bristol City fans.

Taylor has managed to get 11 assists on the board, so he can get the ball in those areas that would need a poacher on the end of it so all in all it’s not a terrible but not a great one either. Under Bowyer anything is possible so if he can get him scoring goals it would be another masterstroke by Bowyer and his team.
