Charlton travel to St Mary’s on Saturday hoping to halt a run of 3 defeats on the trot while Southampton will be looking to heap further dismay on the Addicks as they also look to gain ground on the promotion spots.

Southampton Team News:

Southampton should have a fully fit squad for the visit of Charlton. Jason Euell looks set to start against his former club after staking his claim for a regular place in the starting XI last week by netting against Burnley.

Charlton transfer target Grzegorz Rasiak will sit on the bench due to the good form of Bradley Wright-Phillips.

Grant Basey will be hoping to keep his left back spot after making his league debut for Charlton last weekend at the tender age of 18.

Alan Pardew looks set to keep Sam Sodje at center back along with Jon Fortune.

Elsewhere Darren Ambrose should return to the squad of 16 and there could be a return to the starting XI for Jerome Thomas.

  • I do fear a fourth straight defeat, but you have to be positive. I’ll settle for a point though.

  • Will def be a toughie hope to see us turn things around and get something we need the confidence boost and St Marys is a hard place to go as WBA found out.
