Addicks Injury Concerns, Nothing Major Though

Christian Dailly is already facing four-five weeks on the sidelines, however he’s not the only Charlton player facing time out.

Akpo Sodje collapsed at full time against Exeter City on Saturday following a clash of heads and was taken to hospital. Lee martin and Kyel Reid also have knocks and Johnnie Jackson has been troubled with an Achilles injury.

However, Phil Parkinson doesn’t think that any are that serious really, Parkinson said: “Akpo was taken to hospital as a precaution but hopefully it will not be too bad.

“Reidy and Lee Martin both got knocks but I don’t think it was anything too serious. Lee’s was an impact injury and Kyel’s hamstring just tightened up a bit.

“Johnnie Jackson didn’t play because he’s missed a lot of training with an Achilles problem.”

The Addicks boss didn’t want to use this as an excuse for the defeat at Exeter though as he knows, overall that injuries (at this point) haven’t really been too bad for us, adding: “I can’t make an excuse though. We haven’t got that many injuries and we rested people against Dagenham on Tuesday that we felt needed a rest.”

  • Charlton Addickt says:

Dailly’s the only “real” mid-term injury problem isn’t he as all the other doubts should be back for Notts County this weekend shouldn’t they?
