Some real surprising news has just popped up for us lucky Addicks fans, Erhun Oztumer has signed for Charlton!
I could honestly not be happier I got a lot of stick in the summer about this as I said Oztumer will be signing for us and when it never happened my reputation took a bit of a hit; however, it now looks like I was really on to something after all!
The Greenwich born attacking midfielder is going to bring some real attacking threat to the team as his long shots are a thing of beauty, he can strike a rocket from anywhere on the pitch.
This is a really exciting time to be a Charlton fan and now our midfield has even more attacking prowess than before with this amazing acquisition.
Oztumer spoke with the club’s website
“It feels great. It’s nice to see a few faces I haven’t seen in a while. I’m very happy to be here and looking forward to enjoying football again.”
“I’m a local lad and I’ve kept an eye on Charlton since I left, so I’m happy to be happy to be here, playing in the Championship. The team has started really well so I’ll fight for my place, work hard and see where it takes us.”
