The situation at Charlton has taken another dramatic turn as Tahnoon Nimer has released a statement himself on Instagram today, detailing what Matt Southall has done at the club whilst he has been chairman and it does not look good for Southall as Nimer is practically saying that Southall has conned the club.

According to Nimer’s statement, Matt Southall has been “misusing the clubs funds for a while” as he goes as far to say this was spent on buying “expensive flats, expensive cars, large fees agreed to agents and even personal expenses” in a shocking turn of events at Charlton.
Nimer has also given Charlton fans some hope as he has also said “his commitment to Charlton and their fans still stands and we are ready to honour it more than ever”.
It does sound good in that sense that Nimer is still on board rather than resigning from the club, but this has just got really confusing and I don’t know what to believe anymore, but if this is all true it basically means Southall will be sacked and Charlton is still owned by His Excellency Tahnoon Nimer as he will remain director at the club.
Looks like there is still a lot more to come from this story, but the future does indeed look to be more intact if this is true.
