Same Again Please!

The last time Charlton travelled to Vicarage Road to face Watford they came away with a 4-3 win in a New Years Day thriller.

Few Charlton fans would object to more of the same would they!

Almen Abdi (foot) has recovered from injury so is available to make his Watford return if called upon.

Nyron Nosworthy (Achilles) and Tommie Hoban (ankle) injury concerns but Ikechi Anya could return after international duty with Scotland, where he scored.

Charlton brought in Cameron Stewart on loan from Hull on transfer deadline day with goalie Ben Alnwick signed following his release by Barnsley, both will be in the squad with Stewart the more likely to feature.

Chris Solly (knee) is fit to return having missed the past couple of games; the international break certainly helped him.

That New Years Day win was the first time the Addicks had taken anything from the Hornets in four previous meetings.

Given that Charlton have been more successful on the road in the past season you’d not put it past them collecting all three points again having won for the first time this season last time out but Chris Powell would happily take a point if offered to him now I’m sure.

Should Charlton manage that first clean sheet in five-months they’ll get this point at least, I’m not convinced they’ll manage to do this but think they could come away with a point so I’m going to hedge my bets on this ending in a draw…
