Powell Releases Four

It’s been decided that Ricardo Fuller, Salim Kerkar, Matt Taylor and Scott Wagstaff don’t have a future at Charlton; as such they’ve been released.

Wagstaff, who came through the academy, leaves after scoring 22 goals in 141 appearances for the club.

Experienced striker Fuller signed last August and leaves having scored five times in 31 games.

Taylor, very much part of the league One winning side, was limited to just 14 outings for The Addicks this season so the writing was always on the wall for the defender.

Kerkar featured a healthy 24 times, however his future is also away from The Valley.

Such moves are always hard for any manager, some would have been harder than others but Powell has to do what he feels is best for Charlton.
