For a second weekend running Charlton were denied a win by some inspired goalkeeping, but we did at least get a point this time.

Exeter City’s Paul Jones kept out some efforts before we finally secured a 1-1 draw at St James Park on Saturday. Phil Parkinson again felt hard done by not to have seen The Addicks secure all three points, Parkinson told BBC London 94.9: “It was a tough game and we probably deserved to win it with the chances we created, certainly in the second part of the second half.

“We’ve come up against a keeper who’s pulled off some terrific saves so it wasn’t to be.

“We gave it everything we had.”

This draw almost certainly confirms that automatic promotion is out of our grasp now, so we’ll just be playing to try and get ourselves the most favourable play-off semi final that we can.

Wasn’t at the match so don’t know, but was it another Norwich all over again? Parky makes it sound that way.
