Charlton are set to raid Peterborough United in January for their hot shot striker Aaron Mclean.

Youngster Mclean has set League 2 alight this season so far netting 17 times.

The Addicks will be looking to prise Mclean away by lodging a firm £2M bid.

Posh will do all they can to hang on the Mclean, Barry Fry has already issued a number of hands off warnings to potential suitors.

Meanwhile Charlton are keen on keeping Danny Mills on loan for the remainder of the season.

Alan Pardew will open talks with Man City in the hope that the Premiership side will not require the 30-year-old right back to return to Manchester.

City may prefer Charlton to make the deal permanent and will offer Mills to The Addicks for a fee of around £350,000.

Would like to see Mills stay. Not sure on Mclean after seeing Mcleod flopping

Yes Mills staying would be a good thing, I’m not so sure on McLean he seems to be doing the business (18 goals) but his team mate (Mackail-Smith is it?) is also getting the goals. If the price is right, maybe?

New blood is always good isn’t it?

We only need a bit I think, as we brought in so much during the summer so we can’t forget this is still gelling.

    Yes that’s a valid point! A little won’t hurt though 🙂

I think that in all fairness the side has gelled very well, so many new face and so many being shipped off, so we can’t be that disappointed can we. I think we will get stronger as the season goes on.
