Pardew Ready For Freddy

Alan Pardew is set to sign Freddy Eastwood from Southend this summer in a £3m deal.

Eastwood has found the net 16 times this season with 11 of them coming in the league.

Eastwood looks set to leave the Shrimpers after their relegation to League one. The former West Ham trainee could be just the player we need to help us back up to The Premiership if we do go down.

Eastwood has just gained his first senior call up for Wales and the future looks very bright for him.

Should we lose Darren Bent this summer then Eastwood could be an ideal replacement.

What do you think? Is Eastwood a decent signing or should we be aiming higher? Have your say now

Ive always liked him but can he cut it at prem level? He might get a bedding in season next year if we are in the championship but after then we need a goal scorer at prem level. I have trust in Pards and i say yes have a gamble on him.

Go get him just imagine what it would be like to have him and bent up front. Sadly doesn’t look like it will happen as we will have to sell Darren

persdonally do not think he would cut it at your level … we marked him out of the game quite easily and we are 4th from bottom of the CCC !!!

He has had his up’s and downs this year but scoring 16 goals (he has always missed a few through injury) isn’t bad considering we got relegated. He also get man to man marked most games and normally has a few players surrounding him. – Hopefully he will stay with us.Our chairman is a tough cookie – more over at Southend vital
