According to the Sporting Director of Portuguese side Pacos De Ferreira the Addicks are interested in signing their defender Tiago Valente.
Alan Pardew has reportedly sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old and is now weighing up a £1.5million offer for the defender? Fernando Sequira (the Sporting Director) told the Portuguese media: “We were contacted by an agent on behalf of Charlton and our answer was clear.
“The kid has a price in the market and we have not changed our position.
“For football reasons we want to keep Valente until June, but if the proposition arrives formally we will have a meeting to study the question.”

I have never heard of him, which isn’t to say he isn’t any good. It seems a bit of a strange one to have “been made up though” doesn’t it? Does anyone know anything about him?
Same here mate, 1.5 million is alot for a European player who no one has heard of.
Yes, it is a lot but it also seems like it is a rumour that could be correct? As why would anyone want to make something like this up (other than to maybe drum up interest in their player?)
