Main Man Is Back On Saturday

|

It’s been a hard three games without Lyle Taylor upfront, but that all comes to an end this Saturday against Blackpool and what a way to be welcomed back with football for a fiver on. We should see a big crowd this Saturday hopefully a 20,000 crowd could be on the horizon, however with Roland’s latest actions it may steer some fans away from The Valley this Saturday. I for one will be there and I urge every single Charlton fan to take advantage of this great offer and let’s fill up The Valley!

Back on to Taylor’s return Charlton manager Lee Bowyer had this to say to the South London Press about Taylor’s return to match action

“He’s a big part of what we have done so far this season, that’s obvious. So, has Karlan as well. The last three games without your two strikers has been difficult and that’s shown with the points we have got, although we still could’ve won at Peterborough. The last two matches without either of them has been very, very hard. It just shows how important Lyle is. He’s helped Karlan get his move.

“I know he is chomping at the bit to get back out there, he has been for the last couple of weeks. He doesn’t like missing games and can’t wait to get going.

“I think he’ll be like a kid in the playground on Saturday. It must have been even harder for him to watch a defeat or a draw – if you win then it wouldn’t be so bad for him.

“Instead he’s seen the lads give everything and still not get our rewards. He knows he can make an impact.”

I think that “kid in a playground” comment is going to get some fans excited, it has defiantly got me even more excited about seeing his blonde hair back on the pitch, I would say he will be the first goal scorer on Saturday he is going to be more hungry for it than ever after watching the lads on the side-lines for the last three games and only scoring once in the last three has shown that we need Taylor in every game possibleespecially at this stage of the season.

Taylor has 15 goals in all competitions so far this season hopefully he can add to that against Blackpool.
