It’s official Lyle Taylor has turned down a contract offer for Charlton Athletic as Lee Bowyer confirmed this morning to Richard Cawley.
If I’m being honest it’s probably for the best after recent events have turned pretty sour on social media and such and a certain amount of fans have been harassing him on Twitter and some even sending abuse and this recent news will not help things in that way at all.

It’s obvious that Taylor has really not been helping himself and now we know the full truth straight from Bowyer’s mouth and it looks like he will be gone in January, but Bowyer does to plan to risk letting him go on a free
Speaking with The South London Press Bowyer confirmed Taylor’s contact offer had been declined
“Lyle has been offered a contract and he declined it.
“It’s his choice if he wants to sign it or not.
“We’ve offered him a good contract. Roland [Duchatelet] offered him what we think is a good contract”
Obviously things can change, but after the fans have heard this news I do expect there to be unrest in the camp.
