Yann Kermorgant has apologised for his moment of red mist that saw him receive a first half red card against Nottingham Forest.

In truth Forest were dominant before the sending off, so although the game was still in the balance at the time, it probably didn’t have to much of an affect on the game, only to ensure that there was no way of us ever getting back into it once Radoslaw Majewski and Henri Lansbury had broken through the Charlton defence.

“Going down to 10 men against any team was always going to be hard, Especially against a team like them where they`re all technically very good and keep the ball very well with 11, so it was always going to be difficult after that. Charlton defender Leon Cort told newsshopper.co.uk.

He continued: “He`s apologised to the boys.

“He`s a winner, he wants to win. We all want it win.

“It was just frustration and one of those crazy moments you have sometimes and I`m sure he won`t do it again. He`ll learn from it.

Kermorgant of course will also now serve a suspension, which acts as a double body blow.
