Facing the Axe?

Following our poor performance at Millwall on Saturday Phil Parkinson has warned that the axe is hanging over some players who might pay the price for their performances in that defeat.

Parkinson wasn’t happy following the 4-0 defeat at The New Den, an nor were we so some players could pay the price, Parkinson told the South London Press: “I`m going to look at the players` reactions in the first two days of training this week.

“There have been people out of the team who have been training well and I have to be fair to them.”

You could argue that you select the same to give them the chance to redeem themselves against Gillingham but if they give the same again in another derby then the outcome could be the same and back to back defeats isn’t something we can afford at all!

A few changes to freshen up the side and maybe wake up some who took places for granted might not be a bad thing.
