The news that we have wanted to hear (haven’t we?) Chris Dickson will be returning to the Valley when his loan at Gillingham ends.
With ten goals in eight matches he has certainly been in form, and the Gills have already expressed an interest in signing him, or at least extending his loan, but both appear to have been ruled out: “Chris is in his final spell on loan with Gillingham and after that he will be returning to Charlton,” Addicks boss Alan Pardew told the media.
“I’m delighted he’s done so well at Gillingham and scored so many goals.
“I sent him to Gillingham to gain experience and he’s got plenty under his belt.”
This is all I need to hear, so hopefully even his latest loan will not be extended and he can get back to the Valley and given a chance.

All being well he will return very soon and also play his part. A partnership with Chris Iwelumo is something that I look forward to seeing, possibly?
Yeah maybe espevialy with toddy out.. What about Mcloud or Varney?
It looks like he will be coming back, but not until the end of the year. Varney hasn’t really got going (but he will) McLoud has talent and ability but I’m not sure about being able to play at a higher level than the Championship? His pace is brilliant, but its not always used as well as it could be.
McLoud is still abit raw, his finishing lets him down…Varney looks good…but not all the time…

just needs to carry on his goal scoring form in the ccc……can he do it ?……..
