Could This Be Another Future Star?

|

It’s no secret our youth teams have developed some very talented players over the years, especially when we have got some of those players from non-league teams. It is a list with some very good players in such as Nick Pope, Ademola Lookman and current player Joe Aribo.

Now the same thing is somewhat set in motion with Tooting and Mitcham midfielder Abraham Odoh, he is 19-years-old and by what his peers are saying about him he seems like a real live wire and could be a good move for us. He is currently on loan to our U23s team.

There was much to be said about the young man, so South London Press spoke to Ashley Bosah who is a first-team affairs manager over at Tooting had to this to say “Our chairman, Steve Adkins, is all about promoting young talent and creating pathways for our youth players to play in the first team, and Abraham is exactly the sort of player we try to develop.

“He’s an excellent creative midfielder with a great eye for the final ball. He works really hard out of possession as well as being tricky and quick on the ball.”

Sounds like a good player and if Charlton can manage to secure him on a permanent deal and work him into the first team he could be another break out star for us. We have seen many of our players go towards the Premier League and if what the Tooting managers have said about him are true he will be no different, although it would be nice if he took us there with him!
