After more than a year of trying to get rid of him Charlton have finally managed to offload Yassin Moutaouakil after his contract was terminated 13-months ahead of schedule.

Moutaouakil, another of Alan Pardew’s former signings last played for The Addicks in February 2009 and had a trial period with Portsmouth last summer before a short and unsuccessful spell with Glasgow Rangers.

The 23-year-old ended last season on loan with Motherwell and played 15 times for The Scottish Premier League side but now the French defender is free to go wherever he wants after his release.
