Jonathan Fortune has been ruled out for up to six week with a knee injury.

Fortune had played in all of our matches this season but came off against Nottingham Forest and Alan Pardew has revealed that he has suffered medial ligament damage, he told the Charlton Website: “Fortune has done his medial ligament and will be out for four to six weeks. Thankfully, he doesn’t need an operation.

“But it’s a blow that he’s out as we’ve started to look strong and settled.”

Defence has been an area we have been light in this season, so this is far from ideal. Thankfully though we have brought in a few reinforcements recently.
